Tāmaki Makaurau: Strengthening Communities

A warm thank you to those of you who have participated in the Strengthening Communities Tāmaki Makaurau survey, conversations, and two recent hui. In March, 2024 we came together again for our second gathering, to continue the kōrero and discuss findings to date in this report.

The existing report will be updated in the coming weeks, and the information from a survey, peer-to-peer conversations and two hui will be freely available to use.

This mahi has been co-resourced by Inspiring Communities, Community Waitākere, Auckland North Community and Development – ANCAD Foundation North Department of Internal Affairs and Auckland Council.

Tāmaki Makaurau Hui 2022

Our hui, ‘Uplifting the Mana’ was held on the 3rd of November at the Western Springs Community Hall. When community-led development is centred on, or led by tamariki and their whānau, positive change can occur – not just for themselves, but for the health of the whole of the community. Everyone benefits.

Read more about the hui here.

A big shout out to Foundation North too for supporting Inspiring Communities to support CLD in Tāmaki Makaurau!
