An effective online life is increasingly critical to successfully bridging difference, building movements, connecting with communities and catalysing on-the-ground action. It can be spectacular in its success but is definitely not without challenges!

Join us to talk with activists, artists, environmentalists and students from across Tāmaki Makaurau about how they mix and match platforms to further a wide range of community-led kaupapa and mahi. Creative speed networking will follow.

This hui is for CLD practitioners of all kinds. Broaden and deepen your understanding of CLD, share your thoughts, grow your practice and network and have some fun!

Our Pecha Kucha presenters:

I Love Avondale

School Strike 4 Climate Change

Humans of South Auckland

Papaya Stories

The Aunties

A representative of each CLD initiative will deliver a Pecha Kucha presentation followed by a facilitated discussion, led by Cissy Rock. Together we can explore the interplay between the digital and the physical and learn from each other in a way that informs action. And we’ll discuss the five core principles of CLD and how they manifest in community-led development online:

– Grow from shared local visions

– Build from strengths

– Work with diverse people and sectors

– Grow collaborative local leadership

– Learn by doing
