Tū Tangata Whenua. “The Citizenship Conversation” will touch on conversations that matter to the well-being of our nation, whilst explaining the Active Citizenship Masterclass’s outline.

ABOUT THE MASTERCLASS:

“First established in 2011, it is designed to bring a diverse group of local people together to awaken their involvement in civic life, or in hapū and iwi affairs, and to strengthen their skills and abilities to make things better in our communities.”

The four-month Masterclass for Active Citizenship – Tū Tangata Whenua – has been running in Taranaki for the last eight years, and over 300 people from throughout the province have participated in this unique community development initiative. It continues to have a significant impact on civic engagement, on race relations, and on wider strategies for adult education.

Entrance to this masterclass is by application only, so come along to one of the conversations such as this to find out more and fill out an application form.

Join the conversation October 10th from 9:30am – 12:30pm in New Plymouth.
