Applied practice in Community-Led Development (CLD)
This stage is for anyone who is ready to put community-led approaches into practice in real-world projects and initiatives. You do not need to be in a formal CLD role. People join us from neighbourhood groups, councils, social services, schools, funders, iwi organisations, youth initiatives, and many other settings where community is at the heart of the mahi.
Whether you are leading a local project, supporting collaboration across groups, strengthening partnerships, or contributing to planning, policy or strategy, these practice-based opportunities will help you navigate challenges, refine your approach, and create meaningful impact where you live and work. Whether you are leading a local project, supporting collaboration across groups, strengthening partnerships, or contributing to planning, policy or strategy, these practice-based opportunities will help you navigate challenges, refine your approach, and create meaningful impact where you live and work. Dive in and turn your understanding into action.

Deepening Te Tiriti Responsiveness in your Mahi
This online community of practice will explore how we can actively embed responsiveness to Te Tiriti o Waitangi within our communities.
In these reflective online sessions, we will share and gather insights, stories, and practical approaches to strengthen how we respond to Te Tiriti in everyday mahi.
These sessions are not a training session, rather a dynamic space for collective reflection, learning from each other and stretching our thinking. You’ll connect with peers who are navigating similar journeys, explore real‑world examples, and co‑create frameworks that centre relationships.
This is a valuable opportunity to deepen your understanding, broaden our collective capacity and strengthen your commitment to Te Tiriti-led community development.
- Commitment to 5 online sessions, 2 hours each, 4 weeks apart
- 2 facilitators

Micro-credential in CLD Facilitation
Our practice-based micro-credential is for anyone who works with groups and brings people together, whether you are a volunteer, coordinator, public servant, funder, engagement lead, or someone who facilitates as part of your role.
This programme is grounded in community-led practice and Te Tiriti, to help you deepen and strengthen the mahi you are already doing: listening well, guiding group processes, supporting collaboration and making it easier for people to work together effectively.
We hosted a free online information session for anyone wanting to understand how it works, and registrations for the 2026 cohort are now open if you’re ready to get started.

Demonstrating your impact
Apply He Mara Mahi Tahi to Your Work
Tūhono Impact is a free-to-use tool that helps community organisations reflect on and demonstrate their impact through the five elements of He Mara Mahi Tahi.
Whether you are exploring the framework for the first time or already using the social impact garden in your mahi, the tool provides practical guidance, prompts, and pathways to help strengthen your impact thinking and storytelling.
For organisations wanting additional support, we also offer facilitated workshops on request. These sessions help teams apply the five elements directly to their own context, priorities, and goals.
There are currently no scheduled public workshops, but sessions can be arranged for teams, organisations, networks, or community groups. Please get in touch with Donna at kiaora@powerdigm.org.nz.

Make the Move Workshops
Make the Move workshops explore how public policy can create the conditions for community-led responses, rather than designing solutions for communities.
Using a learn–connect–catalyse approach, these in-person workshops support public policy teams to build practical skills, strengthen understanding of what works, and explore new ways of working alongside communities to create meaningful change.
